'Easier to kill Ketan than disappointing my family'; Shocking revelation in Pune murder case

PUNE: Pune police sources said that Siya Goyal, the accused in the murder case of young businessman Ketan, has made a shocking revelation. During interrogation, the accused admitted that it was easier to plan and kill her fiancé rather than plead with her family not to go forward with the wedding. Siya also stated during interrogation that she decided to kill her fiancé to avoid upsetting her family.

The Pune Lonavala police assigned six teams to investigate the case. The police are currently questioning Siya’s parents. The officers questioned her brother, Sahil, for the second time. During the 10-hour interrogation yesterday, the brother told the police that he knew Siya’s boyfriend, Chetan Chaudhary and that the two first met during a cricket match. The brother told the police that the two became closer during a Diwali party at a friend's house last year. Meanwhile, Siya’s parents reiterated that they were not aware of her relationship with Chetan.

The police have received strong evidence that Siya and Chetan were in a strong relationship. Police sources said that the two have spoken on the phone more than 2,000 times since last January. The police are trying to recover the deleted chats from their phones to clarify their role in the murder. The investigation team is hoping that with the digital evidence, the conspiracy will be fully proven.

Ketan Agarwal died under mysterious circumstances after falling from a cliff in Lohagad Fort near Pune on June 18. Police found that Siya, along with her lover Chetan, pushed Ketan off a cliff and killed him.
