HYDERABAD: A 28-year-old youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his home in Massachusetts, USA. He has been identified as Mohammed Jaber Hussain of Hyderabad. Jaber was working as a civil engineer in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Jaber got married just 17 days ago. His family is now seeking the central government’s assistance to bring his body back to India. Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) spokesperson Amjed Ullah Khan posted Hussain’s father’s letter to Foreign Minister S Jaishankar on X seeking help.
Jaber got married in Texas on August 28, his father, Mohammed Zakir Hussain, said. He then returned to Massachusetts. It is not clear whether his wife accompanied him. Jaber last spoke to his family on September 14. Eight hours later, his roommate called and informed them about Jaber’s death. The family said the roommate told them that Jaber had died in his sleep. The family is awaiting the postmortem report to determine the cause of his death.
Jaber went to the US in 2021 to pursue a master’s degree in civil engineering. He studied at the University of New Haven in Connecticut. According to his LinkedIn profile, after completing his degree in 2023, he joined a company called Estimator as an intern. He later joined Green International Affiliates, where he worked for three years. In June this year, he joined Lochner, the company where he was most recently employed.
