MUMBAI: In a major turn of events, Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) co-conveners Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das lashed out at a certain liberal cabal for targeting CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke. Ranka said the liberal cabal denouncing Dipke just exists on Twitter, and they are far detached from the realities on the ground.
Meanwhile, Saurav Das went a tad further, calling the liberal gang worse than the BJP ecosystem. Das criticised the cabal for being vainglorious in considering it just their job to uphold the constitution and not anyone else's.
“They must realise they can’t divide and rule through such tactics. Their massive failures over the years have led us to this moment where the young have to show the way. So they should just zip it on us and focus on how to support the young! Total bufoons!” said Saurav Das.
The remark from the top leaders of CJP comes a day after the rally held at Mumbai Shivaji Park. CJP has also alleged another such rally on October 10th demanding the resignation of chief election commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
Over the last few days, many within the political spectrum opposing BJP turned sceptical over the spotlight falling on Dipke in the fight to uphold the Constitution. Many even floated the theory of Dipke being a Trojan horse used by BJP to weaken senior political leaders like Rahul Gandhi.
Considering this, the comments by Saurav Das and others within CJP are unmistakably a veiled attack on India’s major opposition party.
