‘17 sacks of black money reached BJP's office in Thrissur during election time,’ reveals former office secretary 

THRISSUR: A former office secretary of the BJP has revealed that 17 sacks of black money were brought to the party's district office in Thrissur during the election time. Former BJP office secretary Akshay revealed this to the media.

‘During the time of elections, all political parties receive money as election funds. The money was handled by BJP organization secretary in Thrissur, K P Suresh, Murali Kolangat and his driver Rajesh. Initially, they said that this money is for election purposes. The money was kept in a house in Gandhinagar. I was present when rupees one crore was taken from there and sent to Tamil Nadu. Did this in the absence of the organization secretary but as per his directions.

The money was sent in a TN registration vehicle. Two days later, 17 sacks of money reached the office from there. They were taken to the organization secretary's room. This money was taken out in the morning two days before the election results. The amount is believed to have been around Rs 25 crore. The money was meant for election purposes as well as post-election expenses.

It is not known where the money came from and for what purpose. After the election results, the DVR of the CCTV was replaced with a new one. The organization secretary Murali Kolangat and lawyer Aneesh Kumar have a role in this. They had forced me to switch off the CCTV. They terminated me after realizing that my continued presence posed a risk to them. I had brought such incidents to the attention of the president. I had sent an email to Rajeev Chandrasekhar explaining this,’ Akshay told media.
