20 complaints filed against Parvathy in a single day; Amster Overseas steps in to settle issue

KOCHI: Many complaints have been filed against Parvathy Maya Shaji, CEO of Amster Overseas. As many as 20 people approached the Palarivattom police station with complaints yesterday alone. Meanwhile, Amster Overseas is reportedly attempting to settle the cases by refunding money to the complainants. Parvathy's bail plea will be considered by the trial court today.

Meantime, the police will submit a report to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) today regarding foreign financial transactions. The Kochi police are submitting the report following findings that crores of rupees allegedly collected through job fraud were transferred abroad.

According to the police, money obtained through visa fraud was transferred overseas and used for large-scale transactions, including cryptocurrency dealings. The report to the ED will include complaints against Parvathy and details of financial transactions dating back to 2023. The ED had previously conducted a preliminary inquiry into the case.

The complaints against Parvathy allege that she cheated people by collecting lakhs after promising high salaried jobs in countries such as Poland, Armenia, and Canada. A large portion of the money collected through the fraud was received through foreign bank accounts. Similar cases have also been registered against her in other districts.

The police said Amster Overseas near Changampuzha Park in Edappally, and Amster Immigration Overseas in Palarivattom did not have licenses to conduct overseas recruitment. The fraud was through social media since 2023. Videos of Parvathy wearing expensive jewellery and clothes and posing alongside luxury cars, including Rolls-Royces, have gone viral on social media. There are also complaints alleging that Parvathy and her aides threatened job seekers who demanded refunds.
