
KANNUR: Police have seized the car used by Arjun Ayanki to go into hiding, recovering the vehicle after it was found abandoned at Panankavu in Kannur.
The Valapattanam police took the vehicle into custody after locating it parked at a house within their jurisdiction. According to police, the car is registered in the name of Arjun's wife. Investigators received information that Arjun travelled in the vehicle on Tuesday and arrived in Kannur on Wednesday, before allegedly fleeing the location.
Earlier, police received intelligence indicating that Arjun had travelled to Edappal. Visuals emerged showing him visiting a restaurant in Edappal, where he had tea and food.
In connection with the ongoing search, police arrested five individuals for allegedly providing shelter and assistance to Arjun Ayanki while he was in hiding. The arrests were made following an inspection based on a secret tip-off received by Tirur Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) A.M. Siddique.
