Tenth class girl sexually abused in Pathanamthitta, revelation against seven including father, three held

PATHANAMTHITTA: The police have started an investigation on the disclosure of a girl that she was sexually abused by seven including her father. The victim is a tenth-class girl from Malayalapuzha.

The girl disclosed the abuse to her schoolmates. The teachers informed the Malayalapuzha police through Child Line. The police arrested three locals following the investigation conducted. Efforts are being taken to bring back two including her father from abroad. The investigation also found that one of them involved in the case had died of old age.

During counselling by Child Line authorities, the girl revealed that she had been a victim of abuse since she was in the seventh class. She was abused by many at different times. Based on the statement, a case has been registered against seven separately. One of these cases is under the investigation of the Perinad police. The girl lives with her mother in a rented house. She was abused when her mother went for work. The police have conducted a medical examination and have also collected evidence.
