Accused confesses to rape and murder of 32-year-old woman in Gavi

PATHANAMTHITTA: The accused in the case of raping and killing a 32-year-old woman in Gavi has confessed to the crime. The heinous crime was committed by a person identified as Vinod. Police said that he had earlier annoyed the woman.

The woman, an employee of Anganawadi was found dead Thursday morning. The police and the locals suspected the case to be a murder from the beginning. There were no marks of wild animal attack on her body, which was lying in the forest area. The body had no clothes. The woman walks three kilometers from her house to the Anganwadi through a forest area. Vinod had raped and murdered her in this area.
