Youth absconding after stabbing woman and fiancé in Thrissur

THRISSUR: A youth stabbed a woman and her fiancé at Cherpu in the district. Aswhin (25) of Kodannur Kailath House stabbed the woman identified as Vaishnavi (23), daughter of Baiju of Kodannur Vattaparambil and Arun (27) of Ollur Puthur Pullanpalla House.

The incident happened Sunday night at 9.30 pm near the super market at Kodannur Centre. Vaishnavi was stabbed on her stomach and Arun on his stomach and hands. Aswhin attacked the two when they came to buy things from the shop in Kodannur. Police said the attack was following his animosity towards Vaishnavi. The two injured has been admitted at the Koorkenchery Elite Mission Hospital. The accused Ashwin is absconding and the police have intensified a search for him.
