Youth found dead at home, police suspect murder 

KOZHIKODE: A youth was found dead inside his house at Palayam in the district. The dead has been identified as Biju of Puthiya Kovilakam Parambu. The youth was found bleeding profusely Sunday early morning at around 3 am. There were hack marks on his neck and stomach. He was found dead in a room built outside the house. The room was locked from outside. Police suspect it as a murder. More details will be clear only after the inquest proceedings.

Biju's father, a dairy farmer, had gone to Coimbatore the other day. When his mother did not see him in the morning, she opened the room and saw him lying in a pool of blood. A neighbour who came after hearing the screams of his mother, informed the police.

Reports say Biju used to provide information to the police during inspections conducted in the area in connection with Operation Toofan. The police are investigating whether there was any enmity behind the murder. Inspections focusing on CCTV footage are progressing.
