Youth kills grandmother by slitting her throat in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 65-year-old woman was killed by her grandson at Channankara in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Mercy, a native of Channankara. Police have taken her daughter’s son, Shibin, into custody in connection with the incident.

The incident took place around 10 am. According to the police, Shibin killed Mercy by slitting her throat. Local residents informed the police about the murder. The motive behind the killing is not yet clear. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
