THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: With the completion of the main allotment process for Plus One admissions, a total of 3,59,890 students secured admission across Kerala as of 6 pm on Saturday. Classes are scheduled to begin on Monday. However, 81,375 seats remain vacant.
In government schools, 1,83,570 students have secured admission. In aided schools, 1,28,282 students were admitted under merit quota, while 16,584 students were admitted under management quota. A total of 19,674 students secured admission under community quota, 10,589 in unaided schools, and 1,191 in model residential schools.
In government schools, 8,611 merit seats remain vacant. In aided schools, 3,685 merit seats and 21,747 management quota seats are vacant. A total of 4,118 seats remain vacant under the community quota, 42,876 in unaided schools, and 338 seats in model residential schools.
Stream-wise, in government schools, 3,425 Science seats, 2,745 Humanities seats, and 2,441 Commerce seats remain vacant. In aided schools, 14,637 Science seats, 6,565 Humanities seats, and 8,368 Commerce seats are vacant.
