KOTTAYAM: The body of Anish Mohan, a geologist who died in the tunnel collapse disaster as part of a hydroelectric project in Sikkim, will be brought to Nedumbassery airport by 7 am today. Anish was a native of Kottayam, Pampady, Pathazhakkuzhi. The body, recovered around 11 pm on Thursday, was brought to the Kolkata airport by road yesterday afternoon. At the Kolkata airport, the body was embalmed in a mobile unit set up with the intervention of NORKA at 3:30 pm.
The body will be brought to Kochi on an Air India flight departing at 11 pm. NORKA has also arranged an ambulance to take the body to Anish’s home in Kottayam. The body will be brought home by 10 am. The funeral will be held at the house at 1.30 pm. Aneesh's brother Bineesh Mohan, his wife Sangeetha Sadanandan, his brother-in-law Sanal, and Bineesh's friend Sabi Baby are in Sikkim. Father: P.K. Mohanan was a teacher at Thottakkad Govt. High School. Mother: Amminikutty. Son: Arnav is a fifth-grade student at Bhavans School, Tripunithura. Anish last came to Kerala for the naming ceremony of his eight-month-old daughter, Karthiyani.
