State’s new chief secretary Bishwanath Sinha to assume office on June 30

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has appointed Bishwanath Sinha as the state’s new chief secretary. The decision was taken at the cabinet meet convened here Wednesday. Sinha will assume office on June 30; the day present chief secretary Dr A Jayathilak retires.

Sinha is presently the additional chief secretary of the home and vigilance departments. He was appointed as the additional chief secretary in 2023. Biswanath Sinha, a native of Bihar, is a 1992 batch Kerala cadre IAS officer. He was born on September 24 in 1968 and has a MA degree from Delhi University.
