THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister V D Satheesan released the Thiruvonam Bumper lottery, offering the highest prize amount in the history of Kerala, on Thursday. The sale of the tickets will begin on Monday. The first prize is Rs 30 crore, up from Rs 25 crore last year. There is no change in the ticket price, which remains at Rs 500.
A total of 90 lakh tickets has been allocated to agents initially, but the number may be increased depending on demand. The tickets will be issued in the series TA, TB, TC, TD, TE, TG, TH, TJ, TK and TL. The draw will be held on September 26 at Gorkhi Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram.
The first prize is Rs 30 crore, second prize Rs one crore each for 20 winners (2 in each series), third prize Rs 25 lakh each for 20 winners (2 in each series), fourth prize Rs 5 lakh each for 10 winners (one in each series), fifth Prize Rs 2 lakh each for 10 winners (one in each series), sixth Prize Rs 5,000 each for 54,000 winners, seventh prize Rs 2,000 each for 81,000 winners, eighth prize Rs 1,000 each for 1,24,200 winners, ninth prize Rs 500 each for 2,75,400 winners and consolation prize Rs 5 lakh each for nine winners.
