Fire breaks out on Vande Bharat track; Trains halted at Pettah in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A fire broke out near the railway tracks at Pettah in Thiruvananthapuram. The fire broke out near Bala Nagar in Pettah. All efforts are being taken by the fire brigade to douse the flames. It is suspected that the fire might have been caused by someone throwing away a cigarette butt while walking near the track.

Reports say the fire spread along a stretch of approximately 200 metres near the railway tracks. Train services have been temporarily halted following the incident. The fire broke out near the track on which a Vande Bharat Express train was scheduled to pass shortly.
