THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A three-year-old girl died tragically in an accident when a parked vehicle moved forward, unaware of a child walking on the front of the road. Rigveda, the three-year-old daughter of Anu Prasad and Nisa, natives of Kottampilly, Kattakada, died in the incident. The tempo traveller, parked near the Amboori Kumbichalkadavu bridge, was involved in the accident.

Three families reached Amboori in a van for a picnic. After alighting from the vehicle, the tourists were roaming in the area. It is alleged that the handbrake of the vehicle accidentally got released, leading to the vehicle rolling forward. The vehicle lost control and ran over a child who was nearby. The child, who was seriously injured in the accident, was immediately taken to the Neyyar Medicity Hospital in Kattakada, but her life could not be saved.
