NEW DELHI: Minister Sunny Joseph said it would be better for the KPCC to have a full-time president. He made the remarks after meeting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Sunny Joseph, who is also the KPCC president, said the party needs a president who is not a minister.

He said both MLAs and MPs are equally qualified to hold the post. “The KPCC president should be a full-time leader and should not be a minister,” Sunny Joseph told reporters.

Meanwhile, Sunny Joseph held discussions with Union Power Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on various projects aimed at improving Kerala’s power sector. In a memorandum, he sought additional power from central generating stations and strengthening the transmission network from Kudankulam and Tirunelveli to southern Kerala.
