Piling machine tilts and collapses onto tracks in Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station; operations temporarily suspended

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A piling machine tilted and collapsed onto the railway tracks in the Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station. The operations have been temporarily suspended following the incident. All efforts are being taken to lift the machine.

The accident happened Thursday afternoon at 2 pm. Some development work is being conducted in the railway station. The piling machine tilted amidst the construction work and collapsed onto the tracks of platform number one. The piling machine is now touching the electric line. There was an attempt to take the machine off the track, but did not yield any results. Efforts are progressing. The operations were suspended till 3 pm. There is transportation in other tracks.
