Search intensifies for accused fleeing from Poojappura Jail

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police have not been able to nab the accused who fled from the hands of the police, even after two days. The youth of Assam escaped when he was brought to Poojappura district jail. He is the accused in various theft cases coming under the limits of Karamana and Nemom.

The accused kept in the juvenile jail in Ernakulam was brought to Poojappura on Sunday to produce him in the court. However, he escaped from the hands of the police while entering the jail. Despite conducting searches for two days, including at the nearby Central Jail compound, the police were not able to find him. The Poojappura police said they are still in search of him. He is an accused in the case of stealing money from the hundi of Neeramankara Shiva temple.
