THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: AC Moideen MLA will not appear before the ED tomorrow in the Karuvannur bank fraud case says Congress leader Anil Akkara. He also said that Moideen knows that he will go to jail with Satish instead of going home if he appears tomorrow. Anil Akkara also demanded that CPM should clarify whether AC Moideen will appear before the ED. He added that MV Govindan has scorned ED today and does not understand why.

ED officials conducted an inspection at the Ayyanthole Service Cooperative Bank based on the statement given by the main accused Satish Kumar, who was arrested in the Karuvannur black money case. ED raids are being conducted at 9 places in Thrissur and Ernakulam, including Ayyanthole Cooperative Bank, which is chaired by CPM state committee member MK Kannan. The house in Thrissur owned by Anilkumar, who fled after taking a loan of 18.5 crores from Ayyanthole Bank, is also being searched. ED alleges that it was CPM leaders who helped Anil Kumar. A raid is progressing at the house of a businessman named Deepak in Ernakulam also.
