KOCHI: Actress and model Rini Ann George came under criticism on social media after many found fault with her expression while attending the funeral of actor Salim Kumar. Rini responded on Facebook, saying that trivial things are being blown out of proportion with the intention to malign someone.

A video of Rini smiling at the funeral of actor Salim Kumar went viral on social media. Rini was heavily criticised for not showing proper respect when most people in the hall were grieving the death of their favourite actor.

Rini Ann:

''It's something I've noticed from my childhood times...even very small things that don't harm anyone end up as big problems for some people...it's a big crime...for example, sitting with your feet crossed, wearing a favourite outfit, smiling at people at a funeral are all included in this. But if someone who rapes or kills people hides his identity and act generous in public, it is doubly okay for the people. You can see the same people taking selfies, taking reels, and so on...What a drama."
