‘I’ve something to say, please wait till Sunday, October 11,’ says R Sreelekha 

R Sreelekha, councillor of the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, in a Facebook post,said that she will reveal the reasons behind the media reports claiming that she had resigned her post. Her post said that she would clarify everything on Sunday, October 11.

Sreelekha had initially posted a message in a BJP WhatsApp group saying that she had resigned. She later deleted the message following discussions with party leaders. Reports say that she withdrew her decision after the BJP leadership assured her that she would soon be considered for some senior posts.



However, the BJP leadership clarified that Sreelekha did not place any conditions before the party. The party also said that she withdrew the message on her own wish.

Sreelekha was unhappy from the beginning over not being given the mayoral post. Although she did not express her displeasure publicly, she had expressed it several times through her body language.
