Auto driver arrested for sexually assaulting women

THRISSUR: An auto driver has been arrested for sexually assaulting women in public places at night. The Guruvayur police have arrested Abdul Wahab (49) of Kandanassery Kizhakkekulam. He used to roam around Kandanissery and Chowallur areas of Guruvayur wearing a helmet at night on a scooter.

The accused had been sexually assaulting women walking home alone after work and female students. Unable to bear the harassment, many people complained to the police and they arrested him after examining the CCTVs in the area. A team led by Guruvayur temple station circle inspector G Ajaya Kumar arrested the accused.
