Youth arrested for sexually abusing 19-year-old girl

KASARGOD: A 24-year-old youth was arrested for sexually abusing a 19-year-old girl. She was brought to the lodge, tied up and abused. The youth arrested is Vishnu Prasad of Kasargod. The incident happened on June 13. She was raped in the lodge near the KSRTC bus stand.

The accused brought the girl to the lodge after convincing her that her friend is there and that she is in severe mental distress. He first called the girl’s brother. The girl, who reached the city, was taken to the lodge in an auto. After seizing her mobile phone, he raped her. When she resisted, he tied her up with clothes and raped her again.

The girl, who escaped from the lodge, informed her family and filed a complaint with the police. The police said the accused will be produced in the court today.
