THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A complaint has been filed against Divya S Iyer for praising KK Ragesh, who was elected as the CPM Kannur district secretary. The complaint was filed by Youth Congress Kannur district committee president Vigil Mohan. The complaint was filed with State Chief Secretary Saradha Muraleedharan and the Central Public Grievance Redressal Director. The complaint has been filed alleging that Divya S Iyer has committed serious violations of the code of conduct. The Youth Congress has decided to continue the legal battle until justice is served.

The complaint alleges that Divya S Iyer violated the 1968 Code of Conduct for IAS officers and demands strict action. The main allegation in the complaint is that Divya has not adhered to the political neutrality that IAS officers should adhere to. 'The position of private secretary to the Chief Minister is a political appointment. KK Ragesh was appointed to the post by CPM state committee. Posting about that is against political neutrality. If she was expressing a personal and professional opinion, why did she use the background of a communist revolutionary song in the Instagram post? What Divya did was tying shoe laces with words. Divya's post is purely political. She was trying to appease for political gain,' Vigil's complaint says.
