KOLLAM: The court has granted bail to former executive officer D Sudheesh Kumar in the Sabarimala gold theft case. He will be released from jail today after being granted statutory bail in both the cases. The Kollam Vigilance Court granted bail to Sudheesh Kumar. The court granted statutory bail after he completed 90 days of arrest in the door frames and Dwarapalaka idol sheets cases.

Sabarimala former administrative officer S Sreekumar was granted bail on January 29 in the gold theft case. The Kollam Vigilance Court granted him bail with strict conditions. Sreekumar was the administrative officer when the gold sheets were handed over to the main accused in the case, Unnikrishnan Potty, and also when it was brought back. Sreekumar claimed that Murari Babu had prepared the draft of the Mahasar before he joined the job. Sreekumar also argued that it was his responsibility to sign as an official. Murari Babu, a former administrative officer of the Travancore Devaswom Board, was earlier granted bail in the Sabarimala gold theft case.
