THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan expressed solidarity with the victim of the sexual assault case involving Rahul Mamkootathil MLA. CM flaunted a cup inscribed with the words "Love you to the moon and back" during the LDF's satyagraha protest against the central government. The victim of the sexual attack had used the same words in a Facebook post shared after Rahul Mamkootathil’s arrest.

The woman who first filed a complaint against Rahul to the Chief Minister posted a note thanking God after police arrested the Palakkad MLA. In the moving post, the victim apologised to the baby (whom she mentioned as angel), which she had to abort due to pressure from the MLA.

Victim’s Facebook post:

“Dear God, thank you for giving us the courage to value ourselves in the midst of all the pain, the judgments, and the betrayals we have endured. You heard the mistakes we made in the dark, the cries and screams that the world did not hear. You held us close when our bodies were wounded and in pain. You forcibly took our children from us. Our angel children in heaven will forgive us. May our children forgive us for trusting the wrong person.

May our children find eternal peace, free from cruelty and fear, free from this world that cannot protect us, our children. If these tears reach heaven, let them know that their mother still loves them. Mother loves you to the moon and back.”
