COVID-19: Shooting of TV serials suspended

THIRUVANANTHAPRAM: The Malayalam Television Fraternity has decided to suspend the shooting of all television serials in Kerala from March 20 to 31 due to the spread of coronavirus. A decision was taken at the emergency executive committee meet of the television fraternity. The fraternity said that when shooting resumes, precautionary measures like masks and sanitizers should be made compulsory at the locations. This was informed by Malayalam television fraternity chairman Suresh Unnithan. The Indian Motion Picture Producers Association had earlier taken a decision to stop film production and all production works. Leading television program producers also stopped programming.

Big Boss Season 2 the reality show aired in Asianet was stopped earlier. All releases till March 31 had been postponed. Film theatres have been shut down. The shooting of all Malayalam films has been stopped. Release of all Malayalam films has also been postponed.
