THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader VD Satheesan said that Kerala is ruled by a government that pays pensions with its left hand and steals money with its right hand. Satheesan, who demanded the government to withdraw the tax proposals in the budget, added that if the government sees peaceful protests as a weakness, the UDF will go ahead with protests that will tear the face of the government in front of the people. He was inaugurating the conclusion of the day and night protest organized by the UDF against the government's tax proposals in front of the secretariat.

"This is the first time in history that there has been so much public anger against the budget. The UDF is protesting against the imposition of a tax of 4000 crores on the people by covering up the negligence and mismanagement of the government. There is nothing wrong with all three questions asked by NK Premachandran in Parliament. But the Union Finance Minister said that Kerala did not submit the GST compensation documents. That's not true. The state has lost the amount from the IGST pool. Kerala has to get only Rs 750 crores," he said.
