NEW DELHI: Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav will soon reach Kerala and will discuss the procedural steps of the touted silver line rail project with chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Kerala's official representative to Delhi Dr. K V Thomas informed the press about the development. Thomas praised the move from the central government and said the discussion will soon figure out the quagmires also giving signs of a deal that will be beneficial for Kerala.
Kerala has asked the central government to first complete the Nemom coaching terminal project. The Angamali-Sabari new line project if turned into reality will be of big assistance to Sabarimala devotees traveling from other states. The Kerala government will bear 50% cost of the projects. The letter from the Kerala CM confirming the same was handed over to the union railway minister. Meanwhile, the Thallasery- Mysore-Nilambur line has completed its survey process in Kerala.
