Vicar arrested for sexually assaalting woman on train

KASARAGOD: A church vicar was arrested for sexually assaulting a woman in a train. The arrested has been identified as Jajis (45), who lives in Mangaluru. The incident took place on the Egmore Express that left Mangaluru at 8 am on Saturday.

A 34-year-old woman who was traveling in the general compartment was the victim of violence. When the train left the Kanhangad railway station, Jajis exposed himself. He lives in Bantwal, Mangaluru and is a Coimbatore church vicar. The woman was accompanied by her husband on the trip. When the incident was brought to the attention of her husband, the vicar who tried to escape was arrested and handed over to the Kannur Railway Police. Later he was handed over to the Kasaragod Railway Police amd was released on station bail.
