Nava Kerala Sadas crosses halfway mark, receives 3 lakh complaint

KOCHI: With the prestigious Nava Kerala Sadas crossing the halfway mark, a total of 3 lakh complaints have reached the government seeking intervention. Individual complaints are more common in the list. There are also petitions to bring public issues to the attention of the government.

14,701 complaints were received in Kasaragod, where Sadas began, and 16,002 complaints were received in Thrissur, the last district in the first phase of the tour. More complaints were received in the departments of Local Self-Government, Revenue, Public Distribution of Food, Cooperation, Water Resources, Public Works, Public Education, Health, Family Welfare and Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Development.

  • A Kakkanad startup company promised to provide a laptop on payment of 30% to V. Anagha. Duly following the promise, Anagha paid the money but didn’t receive the laptop. Anagha thus approached the Nava Kerala Sadas with a complaint and within days, the issue was settled and she got the money back.

  • About 500 meters of embankment from Tejaswini River Palai coast to Karuvanthala will be protected by the government. The decision comes after a complaint from resident P Manoharan who approached the Nava Kerala Sadas.
