Thiruvananthapuram international airport to introduce quiet terminal experience from Jan 1

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Thiruvananthapuram's international airport will adopt a 'quiet' environment from January 1, 2024 enhancing passenger comfort during waiting times.

This move aligns it with silent airports such as Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Lucknow. Important flight information will be prominently displayed on screens in both Terminal-1 and Terminal-2 for easy access.

However, essential announcements like boarding gate changes, baggage screening and security updates will still be made via the public announcement system.
