MATHURA: A youth who lies down and steals is unheard. The railway police have arrested a youth, who lies down with passengers at the railway station, and steals. The incident took place at Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. The Mathura Railway Police arrested 21-year-old youth identified as Avinash Singh.
Mathura Railway Police used to receive complaints about theft of valuables including wallets and mobile phones of passengers. Police officer Sandeep Tomar decided to examine the CCTV footage as the theft was reported from the railway station. For this, the CCTV footage of many parts of the station was examined. In the meantime, the thief was found sleeping with the passengers in the waiting room.

He pretends to be sleeping with passengers on the floor and after making sure that everyone is asleep, steals from the pockets of the passengers. Only after several attempts he will take the valuables without waking the passengers. He then goes to bed with someone else. He then comes out of the waiting room with the stolen items.
The accused was identified and the railway police caught him soon. He admitted that he had stolen five mobile phones in this way. However, only one phone was recovered from him. The police are trying to recover the other items he had stolen.
