THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: It has been found that the question paper of the clerk examination in the Alappuzha and Palakkad districts held on September 7 had also appeared on the official website on the exam eve. The same glitch that Kerala Kaumudi reported in the last few days is seen here as well. The timeline of the question paper for exams conducted for Ernakulam and Wayanad districts, which was held on October 5, has disappeared after the incident sparked a controversy.
At the Kerala PSC meeting held today, it was decided to intensify the investigation into the Kerala Kaumudi report. In the last few days, Kerala Kaumudi has exposed the error related to the LD Clerk exams held on September 28 and October 5. The fact behind the incident affecting the credibility of PSC is yet to be ascertained. At the Public Service Commission meeting, the people in charge explained that the error was due to a change in Google's time stamp. It is also assessed that it was a lapse on the part of the technical department that the difference in the time stamp on the site was not detected even days after the question paper was uploaded.
Don't talk to media!
It is learnt that chairman Dr MR Baiju has warned PSC members and the secretary not to speak to media persons. The explanation is that the PRO has been appointed to reply to the questions for the commission. The commission is closing its doors in the face of the media's doubts when there are complaints that questions under the RTI Act are not being answered properly.
Action against news
PSC's high court counsel PC Sasidharan has been tasked by the commission to take legal action against the publication of the news that the question paper of the clerk exam had appeared on the official site the previous day itself.
Magic on website
The timestamp of the question paper for Ernakulam and Wayanad districts had disappeared around 7.30 pm today. However, the time stamp of the answer key has not been changed. The question paper and the answer key of the LDC exam held for the Kottayam and Kozhikode districts on the 28th continue to be seen in the posted time stamp. The timings for Alappuzha and Palakkad districts are still the same.
