'Smile will turn to tears on Nov 23' ; Soumya Sarin responds to negative comments

PALAKKAD: Dr Soumya, wife of Palakkad LDF candidate P Sarin has responded to the negative comments filling her social media page. Many took jibes at Soumya saying that her smile would soon turn to tears after the elections on November 23. Soumya has been repeatedly facing cyber-attacks after her husband P Sarin jumped ship from Congress to CPM after being denied a seat in the by-polls.

Some highly respected personalities have warned me of an impending danger on November 23. They prophesied that my smiles would turn not tears on that day. I know that it is the date for elections in Palakkad but apart from that what makes November 23 so special?

Oh yes! I get it now. The highly respected personalities might have thrown attention to my husband’s candidature in the elections. They believe that I will cry my heart out and leave the country in case my husband loses the election.

Hey. It is normal for someone to lose and others to win elections. There lies the thrill of elections. Whoever the people vote for will win and they should indeed represent Palakkad.

But the unflinching attempt to make me cry on November 23 caught me thinking. I would advise the respected personalities to understand a person in full before jumping to such comments.

Please save these comments for some others, badly waiting for their husband to become a minister or MLA, so as to live a life of opulence. I don’t need to wait for my husband to become an MLA or Minister to bring a smile to my face. I have 1000 other reasons to enjoy life. So grow up guys. My smile is not going anywhere.
