KOCHI: Tempers flared in Twenty 20 with only days left for the assembly polls. Twenty 20 woman leader and Poothrikka panchayat president Pooja Jomon has resigned. She resigned against Twenty20’s entry to NDA. With this, Twenty20 has lost the administration of Poothrikka Panchayat.

‘Even though it is the party that helped me win, I am unable to accept many things. Sabu M Jacob called me and asked whether I was resigning. He said that a member who had resigned earlier died after being hit by a school bus and that their family has been ruined and added that such a fate should not happen again. When he said indirectly like this, I have no interest in continuing in the party. That is the only reason for my resignation,’ said Pooja Jomon at the press meet.

The Twenty20 party came to power in Poothrikka Panchayat through a draw of lots. Both the UDF and Twenty20 each had seven seats. A draw was held to choose the ruling party.
