KOCHI: Former principal secretary M Sivasankar has left the National Investigation Agency office(NIA) in Kochi after being interrogated for over 9 hours in connection with the gold smuggling case. His name has not been added in the list of accused as the officials haven't obtained enough evidence to arrest him. This was the third time he was questioned by the NIA in connection with the gold smuggling case.

The suspended IAS officer had reached the NIA office by 11 am. He was interrogated in the presence of accused Swapna Suresh on the basis of digital evidence obtained by the investigation team.
