Prominent leader tried to defeat K Surendran, alleges former youth leader

PATHANAMTHITTA: A group from the BJP tried to defeat BJP candidate K Surendran seeking mandate from Pathanamthitta in the Lok Sabha polls. Former yuva morcha leader Siby Sam has come forward with serious allegation against the party state leadership. After demanding leaders of own group to vote for Anto Antony in Pathanamthita, they are now releasing statements that votes for the BJP have gone to the congress.

Only a few from V Muraleedharan group were there to campaign for K Surendran in Pathanamthitta. Group leaders who think that they will have to end their political career if Surendran wins, were in the forefront to defeat him, alleged Sam. They raised the allegation that money was accepted from UDF candidate. However, the people of Pathanamthitta knew about vote trading, former yuva morcha leader wrote in his Facebook page.
