Gave his own gun to groom for the wedding, Jawan shot dead in celebratory firing; video

LUCKNOW: An army jawan was shot dead in a celebratory firing during a wedding event in Brahma Nagar in Sonbhadra district in Uttar Pradesh. The deceased has been identified as Babulal Yadav, a Havaldar deployed in Jammu and Kashmir. Babulal was accidentally shot in the head by the groom during a celebratory firing held as part of the wedding ceremony.

A video of the incident has surfaced online. The video shows the groom accidentally shooting Babulal Yadav during a celebratory firing. The pistol that was used to fire the shot belonged to Babulal Yadav. Although Babulal was soon rushed to the hospital, he could not be saved.

Following the incident, police arrested the groom on the complaint of Babulal's family. The pistol used to fire the shot has been confiscated.
