DUBAI: Getting a job in a top company in the United States is a dream for many Indians. At the age of 34, Tanu Puri achieved this milestone with a job at Google and an annual income of Rs 2.7 crore. However, despite having such financial security, she decided to quit her job. She later moved to Dubai with her husband and child.

Tanu said that this decision was not made casually but was part of a clear plan. She had been working as a Principal Analytical Lead at Google and enjoyed her job. However, she realised that a corporate job alone may not help in building significant wealth.

She also pointed out that restrictions under the H-1B visa in the United States limited opportunities to explore additional sources of income.

According to Tanu, the “American Dream” is not just about living in the US, but about building a better life through hard work. She believes that this dream can be achieved even while living in another country.

She added that the limitations of the H-1B visa in the US, especially in terms of increasing income, played a key role in her decision to relocate to Dubai.
