KARACHI: Fresh evidence for the close association between top Pakistani leaders and terrorists has surfaced. A video of former Pakistan minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed sharing a stage with senior terrorists from Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and praising LeT chief Hafiz Saeed surfaced recently. The video also clearly shows Sheikh Rashid Ahmed issuing threats against India. The former minister shared the dais with the terrorists at a public event.

Rashid shared the dais with Khalid Masood Sandhu, a senior LeT commander and president of the Pakistan Markazi Muslim League, and Qari Muhammad Yaqoob Sheikh, a member of the organisation’s central advisory council.

While speaking at the event, Rashid heaped praise on Hafiz Saeed and said that he is his slave. Rashid also claimed that he had once been expelled from the United States after Hafiz Saeed’s phone number appeared on his phone while he was there. He then went on to make provocative remarks against India.

He said that if India looks towards Pakistan, Allah will destroy India. Then not even birds will chirp in India, and temple bells will not ring. Rashid Ahmed also said that nothing would happen to Pakistan from India and declared and that we are with Pakistan, and we are with Hafiz Saeed.

Sheikh Rashid Ahmed served as Interior Minister in Imran Khan’s government from 2020 to 2022. He is also a founding leader of the Awami Muslim League.
