KARACHI: The Taliban fiercely responded to the earlier Pakistan offensive that killed 46 Afghans. On Saturday morning, a Pakistan soldier was killed in the Taliban firing at the Pak posts on the Dand Aw Patan- Kurram border.

Nine people were injured. Three Afghan soldiers were also killed in the counter-attack by Pakistan. There are unconfirmed reports about 19 Pakistani soldiers getting killed and two Pakistani military posts captured by Afghan forces. Pakistan confirmed a clash along the Paktia border with Afghanistan. People began to evacuate the border areas of Khost province to help the Afghan army assert influence.

On Tuesday, Pakistan used warplanes and drones in Afghanistan's eastern Paktika province in an attack targetting hideouts of the terrorist organization Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP / Pakistani Taliban). The Taliban government in Afghanistan had already announced a befitting response to Pakistan for the attack.

In recent days, many Afghans staged protests for the civilian killing that happened due to the Pakistani attack.
