Accused planned triple murder using AI chatbot; shocking details emerge

BENGALURU: Police have uncovered crucial new details in the brutal murder of a couple and their younger daughter at K.R. Puram. Investigators allege that the prime accused, Kenneth Arun Kumar, used Google's AI chatbot, Gemini, to plan the murders and dispose of the bodies. The disclosure comes a month after the triple murder shocked the city.

The victims were the parents and younger sister of Kenneth's live-in partner, Shwetha. According to police, Kenneth allegedly used the AI chatbot to gather information on the types of weapons that could be used, how to burn a body, and how to remain in hiding without using a mobile phone. Investigators also said he had set up a special furnace under the guise of a cloud kitchen at his apartment to burn the bodies after the murders.

Police said the murders took place on June 22 at Kenneth's apartment in Seegehalli, K.R. Puram, where Shwetha was living with him. The accused allegedly first attacked Muthulakshmi (48). Hearing the commotion, her husband Somasundaram (55) and their younger daughter Supriya (19) rushed to the spot. Kenneth then stabbed Somasundaram before attacking Supriya when she screamed for help. Supriya collapsed at the scene, while the seriously injured Somasundaram tried to flee downstairs but succumbed to his injuries.

Police further alleged that Shwetha played an active role in the murders. Investigators claim she was aware of the entire plan in advance and was present at the apartment when the killings took place. After the murders, Kenneth and Shwetha allegedly went into hiding. Police tracked them down and took them into custody in Puducherry on June 24 and 25.

Police have now initiated legal procedures to obtain Kenneth's Google search history. Authorities said a request has been sent to Google, while his mobile phone and other digital devices have been seized for forensic examination. Investigators expect the forensic analysis to reveal more details about his chats, internet searches, and other digital evidence related to the case.
