NEW DELHI: The alleged leak of blueprints of various parts of the strategic Kudamkulam nuclear power plant on the dark web was deemed a major lapse in nuclear security, according to an observation.
The international news agency Reuters reported that more than 19,000 files, including technical information and supplier information, were sold on the dark web.
It is reported that the information was leaked from the Reliance Group server that took over the construction contract of the nuclear power plant. The information was put up for sale by the infamous cyber fraud group 'World Leaks'. Information related to the main components of the plant was not leaked. On May 29, Reliance sources stated that they detected and prevented a hacking attempt on the server of data centre service provider Yotta. This was reported to the central government.
World Leaks is a notorious hacking group that leaks corporate data and demands money. It has leaked data from big companies like Nike and the Tata Group and put it on the dark web.
