Three police officers suspended for attending Onam celebration drunk

NEDUMANGAD (THIRUVANANTHAPURAM): Three police officers have been suspended for allegedly attending an Onam celebration at Aruvikkara police station in an inebriated state. Rural Police Chief Prashanthan Kani took action against civil police officers Achu Shankar, Prashanth and Anil Kumar.

The Onam celebration was held at the station the other day. After receiving information that some police personnel had allegedly arrived at the station after consuming alcohol, the Rural Police Chief conducted a surprise inspection.

During the inspection, the three officers left the station. A subsequent inquiry confirmed that they had been under the influence of alcohol, following which they were suspended.
