NEW DELHI: The central government lifted the restrictions imposed on the supply of commercial cooking gas cylinders following the West Asian conflict. The supply was restored to the pre-crisis level.
Union Petroleum Secretary Neeraj Mittal said that a letter has been sent to the states and union territories in this regard. This will end the shortage of commercial cylinders faced by sectors like hotels and catering. Large-scale bookings for industrial use have been partially restored. The restrictions imposed on the booking interval for domestic cylinders will continue. The Petroleum Ministry directed public sector oil companies to prepare details of all commercial and industrial customers.
