Major reshuffle in BJP:  K Surendran elevated as BJP national secretary; Abdullakkutty dropped from national vice president’s post

NEW DELHI: The much-awaited BJP organisational reshuffle list has been released. The list includes key office-bearers who will work under new party president Nitin Nabin, including national vice presidents, general secretaries, secretaries, national spokespersons and heads of various morchas.

K Surendran from Kerala has been elevated as party’s national secretary. Anil Antony will continue as national secretary. Former union minister Smriti Irani is also among the national secretaries. Meantime, A P Abdullakkutty has been dropped from the national vice president’s post.

Former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia and former BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav are among those appointed as national vice presidents. Former Uttarakhand chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat, Baijayant Jay Panda, D Purandeswari, Rekha Verma, Varshaben Narendra Bhai Doshi, Bharati Pravin Pawar, Manpreet Singh Badal, Lal Singh Arya, M Nagaraj, Tariq Mansoor and Madhuchandra Kar are also included in the list of national vice presidents.

Vinod Tawde, Sunil Bansal, Biplab Kumar Deb, Satish Poonia, Gajendra Patel, Harish Dwivedi and Sanjay Bhatia are among those appointed as national secretaries.
