NEW DELHI: The National Investigation Agency released crucial information in the Red Fort car blast case that shook the national capital. The NIA found that the accused took assistance from ChatGPT and YouTube to make bombs. The shocking information is contained in the 7,500-page charge sheet filed by the NIA on May 14 in connection with the blast that took place on November 10 last year.

Jasir Bilal Wania, a member of Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, an affiliate of the global terrorist organisation Al Qaeda, misused artificial intelligence to make explosives. The accused searched ChatGPT and YouTube for information on how to make a rocket and extensively searched for the proportions of the needed ingredients. The NIA also found that the accused had tested the rocket IEDs made in this way in the Qazigund forest area of Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The NIA also found that the accused purchased equipment such as sensors, remote control switches, and soldering kits, required to make bombs, through the online shopping site Flipkart. They also planned to attack security camps using drones, the NIA chargesheet states.

Earlier, the investigation had found that three doctors working at Al Falah University in Faridabad were involved in the blast. The other accused are Dr Umar Nabi, who drove the car loaded with explosives in the blast that killed 11 people; Dr Adeel Ahmed, who supplied the chemicals needed by the accused, and Dr Muzammil Shakeel, who directed the experiments.
